What is the difference between a ball plunger and a spring plunger?

· Support

A ball plunger is headed with a ball and its stroke is the displacement of the ball. Ball plungers can be used for locating or for applying pressure, as a detent or for ejection.

A spring plunger has a pin-shaped front section and the displacement stroke of the pin is used for such purposes as temporary positioning and indexing of workpieces.
