Spring plungers with pin offer a larger spring range than the version with ball. The pins generally have a rounded tip or flat tip. However, a version with a flat front side is also available for distributing force over a larger contact area. These spring plungers are used in particular for securing, applying and releasing pressure, ejecting and cushioning, as well as to compensate for dimensional and manufacturing tolerances. 

Depending on the version, pins are available in hardened steel, stainless steel.
